What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3 PM. Check-out is by 11 AM. Checkout time may be extended for a fee upon request, based on room availability

Is early check-in or late check-out available?

Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional fee. Please contact the front desk at 413-664-0400 or reservations@porches.com to make arrangements.

What are the front desk & lobby hours?

Front desk is open 24/7. Lobby is available anytime from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Please keep in mind the noise ordinance is 10 p.m. in North Adams.

Is smoking allowed?

All interior spaces and rooms at Porches are designated as non-smoking for the comfort and convenience of all of our guests. Designated smoking areas are available outside.

Do the rooms have Wi-Fi? Is it free?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the property and is provided as part of the daily amenity fee.

Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out?

Yes, we’re happy to hold your bags at the front desk.

Can you receive and hold my packages at the hotel?

Yes, we’re happy to hold your packages at the front desk.

Do you allow photo shoots?

Yes, we allow photoshoots and would be excited to collaborate on behalf of the hotel. Please give us advance notice by contacting press@mainstreethotels.com to coordinate.

Do you have a rewards program?

No, we do not have a rewards program at this time.

Rooms/Reservations

Are there any additional fees & taxes?

A nightly Amenity Fee of $20 is charged to each reservation which covers amenities such as continental breakfast, WiFi in guest rooms and public areas, heated outdoor pool and hot tub, sauna, parking, and seasonal afternoon snacks. State and local lodging taxes of 11.7% apply.

What types of rooms and suites are available?

Do rooms have private restrooms?

Yes, we do have private restrooms in all of our rooms & suites.

Can a cot or crib be supplied in my room if I am traveling with an infant?

We offer Pack ’n Plays upon request. Please let us know in advance so we can prepare your room accordingly.

Can I request a sleeping mat?

Yes, sleeping mats are available for $25 per night. Contact us ahead of time to reserve one.

Are there accessible bathrooms available?

Yes, we have accessible bathrooms available in our Deluxe Double Queen ADA, Standard Queen ADA and Hillside ADA rooms, which include roll-in showers.

Are accessible rooms or amenities offered?

Yes, accessible accommodations and features are available. Please contact us to ensure we can meet your needs.

Do you offer breast milk storage for parents? Can I arrange a milk-safe fridge during my stay?

Storage is available in the kitchen fridge, however it is not designated breast milk storage.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

For standard reservations, a deposit in the amount of one night’s room, fees, and tax is required to secure a reservation. You will receive a full refund if you cancel more than 7 days prior to your arrival date. Should you change or cancel your reservation within seven days of your arrival date, your deposit will be forfeited. For special rate programs, please check the detailed terms and conditions when booking. A valid credit card number is a sufficient guarantee for reservations made with a gift certificate (or gift card). A one night’s lodging fee plus tax will be applied to the credit card on file if the reservation is not canceled 7 days prior to your arrival.

What is your hotel occupancy policy?

Packages are priced based on double occupancy in a king or queen-bedded room, unless otherwise noted. There will be a charge of $25 per night for each additional adult (18+) in the room. Upgrades are available by request at an additional cost.

How can I modify or cancel my reservation?

If you are outside the changes policy, you can use the booking modification tool on our website by entering your reservation confirmation number. If you prefer, you may also call us at 413-664-0400 or email reservations@porches.com to request changes.

Do you have an early departure fee?

Yes, full stay applies for the reservations.

Is my ID/passport required at check-in?

All adults checking in at the hotel must present a valid government-issued photo ID that matches the name on the reservation and also provide a method of payment in the same name.

Is there an age requirement to check into a room?

The minimum age to check in is 21 years old.

Do you have connecting rooms?

We don’t have connecting rooms at the property, but we do offer one- and two-bedroom suites that accommodate larger parties.

Are there meeting or event spaces available?

How can I arrange a meeting or event at your hotel?

Amenities

Is there a fitness center? What are the hours?

Yes, our fitness center is open 24 hours a day.

Is there a business center on-site?

We do not have a business center, but we will happily assist you with printing.

Is there a pool? What are the hours?

Yes, we have a four-season outdoor pool with a heated slate patio, a traditional Finnish-style sauna, and an outdoor hot tub. Hours are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. (children 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.).

Is there a spa?

We do not offer a spa, but there are excellent wellness services in the area—ask our front desk for recommendations.

Do you offer on-site laundry or dry-cleaning services?

There is no on-site laundry or dry cleaning service at this time.

Transportation

How do I get there?

You can reach Porches Inn easily once you arrive in North Adams. We’re located right on River Street, directly across from MASS MoCA, so the property is very easy to find. If you’re driving into town, follow the signs for MASS MoCA. As soon as you reach the museum entrance, we’re just across the street. There is on-site parking available for guests, and everything on property is walkable once you’ve parked.

What are the cross streets?

The hotel sits along River Street between Veazie Street and Houghton Street / Marshall Street.

What are the transportation options to/from the hotel?

The inn is easily accessible by car, and taxis are available locally. Reach out if you’d like help planning your route.

Is parking available on-site?

Yes, we offer complimentary self-parking for our guests.

Is there a valet?

No, there is no valet service at the hotel.

Food & Beverage

Is there an on-site restaurant or bar?

There is no restaurant on site but our staff will be happy to assist you in making dining arrangements in the area. Continental breakfast is included as part of our amenity program. We offer a casual pop-up bar at the front desk—check with us during your stay to see what’s pouring.

What are the hours of the restaurant?

7 a.m. to 10 a.m. breakfast buffet.

Is in-room dining or room service available?

We do not offer in-room dining at this time.

Activities/Attractions

Are there any outdoor activities or sports facilities?

The Berkshires are a playground for outdoor lovers—enjoy nearby hiking trails, scenic golf courses, and more.

What are the nearby attractions and points of interest?

We’re directly across from MASS MoCA and close to other top Berkshire destinations, including The Clark Art Institute, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and a variety of galleries, museums, and cultural sites. Visit our Experiences page for more experiences.

Can tours or excursions be arranged?

Absolutely—ask us about arranging museum visits and local excursions.

Pets

What is your pet policy?

We love pets at Porches! A confirmed reservation in one of our pet-friendly rooms is required, with a $40 fee per pet per night. Should a pet occupy a non-pet-friendly room, a deep-cleaning charge of $200 will be assessed. To ensure that we can continue to welcome pets, please follow these guidelines:

Keep your dog on a leash and do not let your dog loose outside of your room. This is for your pet’s protection as well as in consideration of other guests and staff.
Pets are only allowed in Building 2 (the sage-colored building). Pets are NOT allowed in the Pool Area, Fitness Center, and our other lodging buildings.
Pets must be crated when you leave your room. Housekeeping will not attempt to enter or clean your room if the pet has not been secured in a crate. Crates are available from our Housekeeping Department by request.
Please curtail any noise/barking to ensure other guests are not inconvenienced. Unattended pets that disturb others will be relocated at your expense.
Guests are required to sign a waiver upon check-in, absolving the hotel and its staff of any liability if the pet or another guest or staff is injured.
You are responsible for any damage or injury caused by the pet. Please ask your pet to be considerate of our antiques and do not allow them on the furniture.

Do you have pet free rooms for those with allergies?

Yes.

How far do you have to walk to take your pet out?

It’s about a two-minute walk to the designated pet area.

Do you have pet sitting or dog walking services?

No, we do not offer pet sitting or dog walking services.

Concierge

I want flowers, chocolates, champagne, gifts etc sent to the room. How do I do this?

We can arrange flowers, chocolates, champagne, or other gift items to be delivered to your room.

Please contact the front desk ahead of your arrival and provide the following details:

Guest name and room number (if known)
Delivery date and approximate time
Description of the item (flowers, chocolates, champagne, etc.)
Any special instructions (card message, specific placement in the room, etc.)

We’ll coordinate storage and delivery by accepting the package at the front desk and arranging placement in the guest’s room.

Please note:

Packages should be clearly addressed to the guest staying at the hotel and match the reservation name.
For champagne or other alcoholic items, please check in advance regarding any applicable hotel policies (ID requirements, responsible consumption, etc.).

Can you recommend local attractions and restaurants?

Porches Inn is ideally located for exploring North Adams and the surrounding Berkshires. Guests can easily visit MASS MoCA, the Clark Museum, and nearby hiking trails. For dining, local favorites include Public, Lickety Split, Casita, Plates, Mezze and Tunnel City Coffee, offering a mix of casual, international, and coffeehouse options—all within easy reach from the inn.
